Here are a few more of my favourite beauty products ….. They all go to prove that you really don’t need to spend an arm and a leg to keep yourself moisturised, groomed and looking your best. I’ve mentioned a few great Christmas Gifts here too by the way.
Wiberg’s Pine Bath Essence
Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love a nice long soak in a deep, hot bath. So I love trying out different bath products obviously. This bath essence from Wiberg’s is really special. It smells like Christmas apart from anything else! It’s a relaxing, refreshing, natural but invigorating scent which lingers in the bathroom for quite some time afterwards. The glycolic acid gently exfoliates while the oleic acid moisturises. Try it, I’m sure you’ll love it.
Lisaplex Bond Saver Lamellar Water
I’d never heard of Lamellar Water so this was a new one for me. It’s actually more suited to my two younger daughters than me as I like my hair to look messy and flicky whereas they often straighten their hair or blowdry it straight. In a nutshell, this magic, lightweight hair treatment from Lisaplex, creates shine, smooths frizz and repairs damaged hair in as little as 9 seconds. It even makes your hair dry faster. No idea how, but hey..!
The Elephant in the Room
I’ve just bought this lovely little book, by Ian James, for my 3 and 5 year old grandsons and it’s been a success. It’s a book about Henry who has a problem he doesn’t want to talk about. Without giving anything away, the book teaches children a really important lesson about dealing with problems. A perfect Christmas present or stocking filler for young children so why not take a look!
Cool Crutches & Walking Sticks
My sciatica is sometimes so bad I can’t move let alone walk anywhere but when it eases off a little I need a stick to help me. The Cool Crutches website has walking sticks in all sorts of colours, patterns and prints. You can even design your own and they’ll create a custom stick that reflects your unique style. Mine is bright pink, super comfortable to hold and it doesn’t make that tapping noise that so many of them make.
Me&McQ 3D
Christmas Cards
Wow – just Wow! The leading 3D card maker Me&McQ has launched a new collection of simply gorgeous luxury Christmas cards. These are the sort of cards you pretty much keep forever and are well worth splashing out on.
Look Fabulous Forever
How fab is this teal green No Shimmer Eye Shadow! By now, most of you know how much I love Look Fabulous Forever and their gorgeous make-up and skincare products. I’ve raved about their Smooth Like Silk Face Prime, their moisturising stay-put lipsticks and the lovely soft eyeliners amongst others. Lately I’ve been trying out their skincare products though and wow, it’s brilliant. I’m going to give it another month to report back but I suspect the whole lot will be more Must-Haves for me and Bestsellers for them. Oh and have I mentioned how much I love their Make-up Tutorials ?!
Case Happy Kindle Cases
I love books of all kinds. I love the smell and feel of a real book in my hands and have shelves full of books all over my house. However a few years back Mr. C bought me a Paperlight Kindle and it’s perfect for reading in less than favourable light. Turns out age isn’t kind to our eyesight! Anyway I dropped my Kindle in the bath recently (What? Don’t you read in the bath?!). The Kindle survived the disaster but the case curled up and died! I needn’t have worried though as I found Case Happy – a site with loads of fab Kindle cases in all colours and patterns! My new case really stands out from the crowd and is way cooler than my last one.
BetterYou Vitamin B12 Oral Spray
So I’ve been feeling tired all the time and simply ‘not right’. A few blood tests later and the GP told me that I needed to start taking Vitamin D and that my B12 levels were low. I’ve started using this Better You Boost Vitamin B12 spray. It’s easy to use. No foul-tasting pills to swallow either and apparently it’s fast-working. Will let you now how I get on when I’ve been taking it for a bit longer. To be honest, though, I actually feel better simply knowing I’m doing something to address TATT! (look it up!)
THE HAIR BOSS
The Corrector Drops
Brilliant, if you don’t want your blonde hair to go all brassy! I use this around once a month when I feel my highlights aren’t looking their best. It’s kind of like a DIY instant toner and freshens up your look in a flash. I’ve told quite a few of my blonde friends and they’re all using it. Well worth buying and I personally wouldn’t be without it.
SKIN FOOD by Weleda
I’m a massive fan of Weleda products and Skin Food is up there as one of the all-time greats of my skincare world. Victoria Beckham is one of the many fans in the ‘celebrity’ world. I use Skin Food all over but it’s been a game-changer on my elbows! Anyway, recently Cytoplan has teamed up with Weleda UK to launch the Complete Skin Food Regime to feed your skin inside and out! Win, win ! Weleda is very much a holistic, health and beauty brand so this collaboration makes perfect sense. I’m going to be trying out the programme for a few months and I have high hopes!
