Everyone seems to want to travel these days. The moment one holiday has finished it’s time to book the next one. The hotels, the flights, the transfers; all taken care of. However, there’s always one thing that’s left till much closer to the date – and that’s the airport parking. This year we used APH’s Meet and Greet service at Bristol and we were bowled over by the ease and convenience.
As regular readers will be aware, we often write about airport hotels and parking services, as we feel they’re a very important part of your holiday. Getting it wrong can result in unnecessary stress and expense. This is why we always book in advance.
Meet and Greet at Bristol Airport
This summer we took a trip to Majorca, flying from Bristol Airport. To be perfectly honest, we’ve never been great fans of Bristol Airport as we find it to be quite a difficult airport to get to, and some of the parking services leave a bit to be desired. This year we booked a Meet and Greet parking service through APH and were so impressed!
Firstly, you take your car to the airport’s ‘drop-off’ area, which is literally a few metres from the terminal. You then drop your keys at the reception hut. You provide your return flight number and that’s it! Yes, simple as that. A short walk around the corner and we were there at check-ins and security. It probably saved us a good 40 minutes of driving to an off-site location, waiting for a shuttle bus and lugging the suitcases onto and off the bus at each end. It’s so much less stressful too. Almost as easy as pulling up to the terminal door and walking away from the car. What could be easier?
Ready to Go
The return was even easier, I think. After our exit at the arrivals, a one-minute walk to the drop-off area put us back at the Meet and Greet hut. We handed over the collection ticket given to us at departure and they gave us our key back together with a pre-paid exit ticket for the drop-off zone. ‘Your car’s just there’ was the only communication necessary and sure enough, only 10 metres from the hut was our car, all ready to go.
I suppose value relates directly to expectation and satisfaction. The meet and greet service is a little bit more expensive than the self-park options, but boy does it make your life so easy and stress-free – both for departure and arrival. In future I will happily pay the difference as it made such a massive difference to the whole experience. It’s like knocking down an imaginary wall that would have been in your path otherwise.
APH’s service was easy, seamless and faultless. From the first booking to driving away after the holiday, everything ran like clockwork. In my opinion, for all the hassle and time it saves, it’s absolutely superb value for money.
