Magic trousers? Surely not, you’ll be saying to yourself.
Magic Trousers
Seriously though, there is such a thing as magic trousers and I’ve got two pairs! I wear them all the time too and they’re super comfy. And not only do they fit me but they also fit my daughters and we’re all different sizes! Usually when something seems too good to be true, there’s a catch but not with magic trousers. Magic pants they call them over in The States where I first came across the little wonders and I’m super-pleased that Lily’s Loft have brought them over here.
I dress mine up and I dress them down – simply depends on the occasion. They genuinely seem to go with everything!
One Size Fits All (nearly)
Again I happen to have a few of these one-size tops. Some of the floaty tops I wear loose on their own. Others I tend to wear a fitted tee or long-sleeved top underneath. This means that I can wear summer tops in the cooler seasons too. Win, win!
Just like us, the founders of Lily’s Loft were fed up of going into clothes shops, trying things on and leaving down-at-heart because everything was just a bit too tight and uncomfortable. Even if you are the same weight after you’ve had children (this in itself would be highly unlikely) your shape usually changes. Things that may have looked good on you pre-pregnancy may not look so flattering a few years and a few children down the line.
Add middle-age and menopause into the equation and hey who wants fitted clothes any more! Reaching your 40s/50s is a turning point for most of us lesser mortals aka regular people. I’m not talking Cher or Nicole Kidman or even Joan Collins for that matter. Most of us have more bulges that we’d like and very little time to go trekking from clothes shop to clothes shop. Hunting for the elusive pair of trousers that actually fit you and are forgiving, if you’ve had a decent meal or a sneaky few biscuits, becomes a terrible chore.
Lily’s Loft
Do these phrases sound familiar?
- My children are getting older (I want to look respectable)
- My body is changing (I’ve gained a few pounds)
- I’m not sure what to wear anymore
- Some clothes shops feel too young, some feel too old
- Sizing differs from one shop to the next
Well you’re not the only one, loads of women feel exactly the same. We want our clothes to look good, be affordable, smart and comfortable. We want to go into a shop buy something that we know will fit us and walk away confidently with a bag and necklace to match ideally. No more faffing around trying tops on here and trousers on there and still not finding what we want!.
Seriously when you try this sort of one size fits all clothes store like Lily’s Loft then they’ll be your first port of call whenever you ‘go clothes shopping’. Try them, you’ve nothing to lose and everything to gain!
