MrandMrs50Plus have been getting used to their new VAX Blade 2 MAX Cordless Vacuum Cleaner. To say they’re impressed is an understatement as you can see …
We’ve had a cordless vacuum cleaner for a few years now and to be honest I can’t imagine ever going back to the old style. I don’t miss at all the days of carrying a heavy cleaner upstairs. Nor do I miss hoovering with a big, long, trip-hazard of a wire trailing after me. And thank goodness I don’t have to keep finding a new socket to plug in to every time I get to the end of the flex!
We moved into a new house a few weeks back and boy was it in a state! The people before us had a very fluffy, long-haired, smelly dog. As a consequence there was a huge amount of dog hair in every conceivable nook and cranny. I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time sweeping, hoovering and cleaning since the move but with all the work going on, it doesn’t seem to be getting any better.
New VAX Blade 2 MAX Cordless Vacuum Cleaner
Anyway to cut a long story short, my cordless vac (made by the same man who sells the ridiculously expensive hairdryer) died a death. After a bit of research and shopping around, I opted for the brand new VAX Blade 2 MAX cordless vacuum cleaner. It was a stab in the dark I suppose. The only VAX I’d ever used before was one of those old wet/dry cleaners and I didn’t get on with that at all.
This VAX, however, is a whole new ball-game. A game-changer in fact, to expand the metaphor! The suction is pretty amazing – as good as it gets I reckon. With a 45 minute run-time, I can easily do the whole house top to bottom on a single charge. The VAX Blade 2 MAX is much more lightweight than you’d expect and it’s dead easy to convert the upright stick cleaner to a mini hand-held one. I find this option makes light work of cleaning the stairs and you really can get into every corner. The dirt bin is a good size too, as you can see.
It’s sleek, black and streamlined and looks pretty unobtrusive on the utility room wall too. Remember how cumbersome most of the corded vacuums were and indeed still are? I’m well chuffed with my new cleaner, as you can probably guess! Another plus point is the fact that the power button is an easy on/off switch. My old Dyson used to really hurt my thumb and hand as the trigger switch had to be kept pressed down. In fact this was the reason, I advised my Mum, who has arthritis in her hands, to buy the VAX cordless cleaner instead!
For the first time ever this year, the sales of cordless vacuums have exceeded corded cleaner sales. And looking at the performance of the new VAX Blade 2 MAX, it’s hardly surprising.
