We’ve trawled through new beauty launches to show you ten of the best worth looking out for..
Blush Beautiful
Everyone loves a Benefit blush! Their new ‘Wanderful World’ collection features 12 shades inspired by colours of natural objects. They include Shellie, a warm seashell-pink; Java, a rosy mocha matt and Pom Pom, a pomegranate rose. £27.50 each, nationwide.
Refillable Feels Good
If you’ve not cottoned on to the fact that refillable beauty products are the way forward – where have you been? Start from the top – your shampoos and conditioners from sustainable brand Fiils. First, invest in a starter kit, which includes the refillable aluminium shampoo and conditioner bottles, plus two 400ml pouches – one shampoo and one conditioner (they even give you an extra 10ml of each product because they know spillages are likely!). Fill the bottles, then post the refill pouches back to Fiils in the freepost recycling bag that comes with your first order. We love the new citrus fruit Pomelo Hair Duo, packed full of vitamin C to leave hair shiny, scented and saintly. £26 from www.fiils.co
Upcycled Beauty
UpCircle Beauty salvage natural ingredients discarded from the food and drink industry and use them to make organic beauty products – clever stuff. Their latest launch gathers waste raspberry seeds from the juicing industry to make a hydrating raspberry seed oil packed with antioxidants. It’s then mixed with sunflower oil, aloe vera and glycerin to create a lightweight SPF 25 mineral sunscreen that sinks in to skin with no shiny sheen and smells like ‘toasted lavender’ £24.99, upcirclebeauty.com
Perfect Cleanse
Eve Lom has long been the authority on all things skin cleansing ever since she developed her fist product – the iconic Cleanser balm over 35 years ago. The latest addition to the line is the Foaming Cream Cleanser – and it doesn’t disappoint. From a smooth cream it transforms into a soft gentle lather of foam you can use all over the face and eyes (is it just me or do you also baulk when a face cleanser tells you to avoid the eye area?). Softly fragranced, it’s easily rinsed off and leaves even dry skin feel nourished. £45, from evelom.co.uk
Feed Your Lashes
With 99% natural ingredients including coconut, avocado and sunflower seed oils, the vegan formula Wild Lash mascara from Urban Decay nourishes lashes and stays put through a long day. The big curved ‘leaf-shaped’ brush loads on product quickly (but not messily) – great when you’re in a rush to get ready. £23 from urbandecay.co.uk
Hair Heroes
Wakati means ‘time’ in Swahilia and their range of hair-care is designed to take the hard work out of hair-washing. Especially for textured hair, the formulas help make it easier to detangle hair in the shower and define curls when styling. A blend of silicones and oils help create ‘slip’ so that hair strands are less likely to tangle. Wakati Sulfate-free shampoo and Water-Activated Advanced Conditioner are both £10.99, superdrug.com
Get A Golden Hour Glow
For a subtle glow with a glass-like finish, these Jones Road Shimmer Face-oils add a pretty, nourishing highlight to cheeks (or anywhere else on the body you want to infuse with a hint of luminosity on your hols). Jones Road Beauty – if you don’t know the brand yet – was founded by make-up guru Bobbi Brown and boasts a plethora of multi-use simple smart products. The shimmer oils come in four shades – cool rose, midas, pink opal and bronze, £29 each, jonesroadbeauty.com
Calming Care
If your skin is prone to redness and irritability, then Darphin’s new Inner Youth Rescue Serum could help ease your sensitivity issues. It contains a calming complex of peony, chamomile, hawthorn and pink rock rose, plus reservatorl and salicylic acid to boost your skin’s protective barrier. From £29, nationwide.
Spray And Glow
The refreshing Bellaianta by Maura Higgins Shimmer Glow Mist Champagne is enriched with hyaluronic acid and cucumber extract to hydrate the skin. Spritz on your face or all over your body to give your skin a cooling refresh with a barely-there subtle shimmer and summery scent. £19.99 from Superdrug.
Nice Nails!
The new Delight collection from Swiss new beauty brand Mavala is inspired by summer holiday beachside locations and fruity, colourful cocktails – all reminiscent of the crazy colours we wore back in the ‘90s. Think fun fuchsias astral yellows and cheerful corals. £6.20 each nationwide.
