I’ve been a convert to cleansing using the hot muslin cloth method for a while now. I’ve tried a few different cleansers over the years but recently I’ve been using one of the Botanicals Cleanse Melts.
There are two scented cleanse melts for different skin types. I have the Nourish Cleanse Melt with rose and camellia which is perfect for my more mature skin. I’m very tempted to try the Gentle Cleanse Melt next time, simply because so many people I know have recommended that particular one!
In the pot the Botanicals Cleanse Melts are kind of semi-solid. However, once they get in contact with your warm skin they start to melt.. All you need is a pea-sized amount which you between your fingertips before massaging gently into your face. I go round and round in circular movements before removing it with a warm damp muslin cloth. To be honest I sometimes use an ordinary flannel and can’t tell much of a difference. Though I have to say that the rough texture of the muslin cloth is great for gentle exfoliating too. Using a hot cloth opens up the pores nicely so that you can wipe away the impurities easily. The cleanse melts are perfect for me as they are lovely and gentle on my skin.
With Botanicals I love that everything is 100% natural. They always use the best quality organic ingredients which clean and clear the skin without stripping it of all its natural oils and moisture.
It’s worth noting too that as well as being Soil Association certified, all Botanicals products are suitable for vegans’ and are ‘not tested on animals’!
Would I buy it again? Oh yes, without a doubt!
